Houghton Hall

Houghton Hall was built in the 1720s and 30s and is impressive in terms of architecture, furnishings and history. The grounds are equally impressive featuring a herd of white deer. The deer were selectively bred over many years and now boast good fertility, weight and sizable antlers. There's also a museum, impressive stables, lavish gardens, a park and a church. Closes for the winter, check website.
